What is an optical device, a BOSA
The optical device BOSA is a part of the constituent optical module, which consists of devices such as transmission and reception.
The optical transmission part is called TOSA, the optical reception part is called ROSA, and the two together are called BOSA.
Its working principle: with information of the optical signal (electrical signal) into electrical signal (optical signal) conversion device.

Structure diagram of the BOSA device
The BOSA mainly includes the following key components:
1. Launch core LD and receiving core PD-TIA;
2. Filter, 0 and 45 degrees; this device is required for transmitting and receiving optical line;
3. Isolator, choose different isolators according to different optical wavelength; but now manufacturers generally save this device (cost and process), the direct problem is that the output Eye diagram jitter, need to add external;
4. Adapter and Pigtails, selected according to different cost and application scenarios;
5. The base.
Process assembly
1.The glue is fixed in the base and then dried at high temperature;
2.Adapter and transition ring are welded together by laser;
3.The adapter is combined with the transition ring and the base is welded together by a laser;
4.Launch core and base first press, and then laser spot welding;
5.The receiver core is first coupled, then glued, and finally dried at high temperature;
