What is ONU?

1. EPON ONU: EPON (Ethernet Passive Optical Network), based on the IEEE 802.3AH protocol standard, provides an ups and downs symmetrical rate of 1.25Gbps.
2. GPON ONU: GPON (Gigabit-CAPABLE PON, Gibi-Bitless Optical Network), based on the ITU-T G.984.x protocol standard, provides up and down asymmetric rates, uplinks 1.244Gbps, and down to 2.488Gbps.
3. XPON ONU: Dual-mode ONU, and supports IEEE 802.3AH/ITU-T G.984.x protocol standard.
